The Enterprise Centre

The Enterprise Centre

The Enterprise Centre originally started life has one part of the overall redevelopment of The Doncaster Deaf College Campus off Leger Way, Doncaster under the Lilewop Project banner. It was then decided following initial discussions with Yorkshire Forward to make an application for funding to the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and following a lengthy and involved application process the funding was granted. Kennedy Design Ltd formed part of the team that made the application. However due to the economic climate at the time it was decided not to take up the offer of funding.

The project was for the construction of a modern brick and glass office building that followed the corner of the road at the junction of Leger Way and Town Moor Avenue. The accommodation would be use by both the Deaf Trust (classrooms and advance learning space) and outside organisations who, in exchange for reduced rental terms;  would offer work placements to students who would then be able to gain valuable work experience before leaving education to enter to world of work.

The accommodation was arranged over three floors with a communal coffee shop and breakout area located on the ground floor with general visitor reception and waiting area.
