Stone Cottage

Application to take down and replace a Non-designated Heritage Asset.  Then replace it with a new farm house.

Detailed recording of the existing building and compiling a history of the existing dwelling to confirm whether or not the original cottage had formed part of an earlier (but long since demolished) manor house. A detailed photographic survey and measured building survey were carried out as part of the planning submission. Once Planning Permission had been granted an archaeological survey of the area was undertaken and an archaeologist was on site during the excavation of the foundations for the new property.
