Mayroyd Mill
Mayroyd Mill was developed in 2000 and one of several project with the same client all of which involved the redevelopment on derelict abandoned mills.
The works once completed turned what had been a derelict saw mill into ten family homes arranged over three floors. The project won an RICS award.
The renovation works took 18 months to complete, the existing mill space had to be divided up vertically along its length to provide seven of the new dwellings. The remaining three properties had been cottages which had been incorporated into the mill before its closure. The end cottage had been the accommodation for the lock keeper.
